Reduce Your Waste Line
Lead by example, that's the guideline which drove me forward.
So at SWEET-SWITCH that's exactly what we did, by individually packing our biscuits!
Doesn't that sound highly contradictory?
Yes it does, but it isn't, and I'll take this forum to briefly explain why.
Our biscuits used to be packed in a plastic tray
covered then with a large sleeve.
Result was, that every so often, the last biscuits in the package
were not consumed, leading to massive food waste, which could be avoided.
Moreover simly putting the plastic tray & sleeve on a scale
and comparing the weight to the new thin, single package sleeves,
gave us an astonishing reduction of 85% of plastic use!
Yes you read that right, 85% less plastic and no more food waste...
So that's how we do our share, and we're proud of taking this stand.
Is the work over? No it most definitely isn't!
Creating a greener & cleaner environment is a continuous improvement process.
But we are absolutely convinced that every step helps.
Trust you'll appreciate the SWEET-SWITCH efforts in reducing our waste line.
