Happy World Elephant Day!

You're probably wondering, "why in heavens name is a candy brand celebrating World Elephant Day?" Let us tell you, we have some very strong connections with elephants.

First of all, we love them! Elephants are incredibly majestic, intelligent creatures and, just like us, they’re real foodies. Did you know they can eat up to 250 kg of food a day? That’s quite the appetite!

Secondly, we have a special place in our heart for the Big 5. The Big 5, the lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo, are easily the most iconic South African animals. These iconic animals are so beloved by us that we even created a special chocolate box featuring them. Discover them here.

And perhaps the biggest reason we celebrate elephants: we love using them as a measure of our achievements. Did you know we’ve managed to save a whopping 300 tons of sugar from being used in conventional candies, chocolates, cookies, and hazelnut spreads? That’s the same weight as 100 African elephants!
